Other sites will open, but none ofthe files on the site appear in the designer. Might it apply in your case? Turned on FrontPage 2002 Extensions for the website in IIS. It takes just 2 minutes to sign up (and it's free!).

I would really like to use the Remote Web Site option so I can build the sites from Visual Studio on my remote machine. Backed up the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot folder

If your error message refers to a different drive letter, create the \Temp folder on that drive. Publish causes error, "Cannot locate frontpg.lck file" HELP! Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? Now when I go to publish it, I get an error saying it can't find a frontpg.lck file or folder. Converting the web back to a folder....or unselecting the "Include subsites" checkbox on the Publishing tab for Remote Web Site properties, eliminates the error window.

Other sites will open, but none ofthe files on the site appear in the designer. Removing and reinstalling the server extensions Recalculating the server extensions. HTH's.
