I uninstalled them, and went looking for a an exucutable "file" on the web which would simply install the 2002 extensions. Thanks Doug! I have tried to create any new site by means of import, new one page web, anything ... The server techs either don't know what they are doing, or don't want to do it, forcing you to eliminate them. Turned on FrontPage 2002 Extensions for the website in IIS.

Please check the file permissions. do i need to have my webhosting provider fix the security permissions?? Waited an equally long time, opened EW3 again and...bingo!

Q PS: I love the smileys!! Other sites will open, but none ofthe files on the site appear in the designer. Close down Front Page, then try again. So, based on the above solution I did the following:

Removed FrontPage extensions
Removed VWD
Removed IIS
Backed up the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot folder
Removed the folder: C:\Inetpub

Tell us how we may improve it. I read somewhere however that a dropped connection can cause the same corruption, which could be the case here.
