You just need the Windows 8.1 SDK. @mousetraps I suspect that the Windows SDK prerequisite, is node add-on dependent. winsock2.h is included by node and v8. the one i tried to download was the one from https://github.com/StadiumRunner/node-escpos, while the one listed in npm search seems to be https://github.com/song940/node-escpos descriptions dond really give any hints on differences .
