Cannot Start Sshd As Net.eth0

Because of the way udev persistent net rules work the interface will continue to receive the same name afterwards since it's new mac-address is now recorded into the rules file. In one of the iMac's the machine boots up just fine, in the other one it lags at the SSH connection. Package tabu: changing row color changes spacing? Code:[blocks B ] If your network interface is not up, youcouldn't use SSH anyway. If you really want to use SSH to localhost, changeRC_NET_STRICT_CHECKING in /etc/conf.d/rc.--Neil BothwickVery funny Scotty..

Do you remember this Tidbit from the Handbook? I've run provision 100 times under 1.9.2 and 1.8.7, with full success. So I can agree, this goes back to an issue with bringing up the interfaces, it has nothing to do with SSH, or maybe other edge cases are present... setting: VBoxManage modifyvm "puppet-playground_1357644642" --natdnshostresolver1 on fixed this for me.

What's the most robust way to list installed software in debian based distros? I've run reload 100 times under 1.9.2 and 1.8.7. I say psuedo-fail in the sense of current behavior.

restart no longer works.

The bridged setup will do two interfaces eth0 on internal range (10.0.2.2 by convention I think) and eth1 which will get an ipaddress from the bridged network. shutdown -h now The box can be halted running vagrant suspend then vagrant halt-weird. Each one failed with ssh connection. gmail !

In that situation, the invoke-rc.d reload/restart fails because the initial startup of sshd wasn't successful. Really appreciate it!!! I've run provision 100 times under 1.9.2 and 1.8.7, with full success. One thing to think about in the code review is auto-triggering a reload when the banner exchange error occurs. Vagrant assumes that this means the command failed! In my case I'd see two established connections to localhost:2222 after the reload, one of them being the connection from before the reload.

I say this because previous versions of Vagrant worked just fine. chown root:netdev "$RUN_DIR" ; then < log_warning_msg "can't chown $RUN_DIR" < fi 160,162d162 < if init_is_upstart; then < exit 1 < fi 166c166 < state=$(ifquery --state) --- > state=$(cat /run/network/ifstate) [email protected]:/etc/init.d#
