Use YaST2 or netconfig to modify resolv.conf so that /sbin/netconfig update command returns a zero exit status. what is happening: because i have edited resolv.conf (to include google's 8.8.8.8 etc) there is a conflict between it and resolv.conf.netconfig which is blocking the system from running ntpd.. The problem here is, whenever users modify any of the configuration files (which can be configured using netconfig) manually, /sbin/netconfig update does not return exit code "0".
